Murfreesboro’s first and largest private martial arts school since 1972
Middle Tennesseans have been trusting Bill Taylor’s Bushido School of Karate for more than 35 years. Murfreesboro residents know the school for their incredible reputation for Martial Arts — the school has been named USEWRKD School of the year — as well as for the community outreach by Bill Taylor and his school. From free self-defense seminars for women, helping school children deal with bullying, coaching families through his stranger danger seminars and conducting free seminars in schools and community centers — Sensei Taylor works hard to help his neighbors stay safe, develop focus, and become more disciplined in order to create a better community and a healthier life. The Bill Taylor Bushido School of Karate is Murfreesboro’s first and largest private martial arts facility, teaching martial arts and self-defense since 1972.

Karate for All Ages
Entire families train with us here in Murfreesboro at Bill Taylor’s Bushido School of Karate. From Kinder-Karate to older kids; teens, adults, and seniors — it’s great for all ages. Kids train with kids and adults train with adults. Classes provide a great place to not only learn a new skill, practice self-defense, get in shape, and learn focus, among many things, but it’s a great place to meet new people and make friends. Many of our students have become great friends outside of class as well. You’ll feel like family at Bill Taylor Karate.
